The launch of the MICU is important and it will help the holy practice of helping others. MAGEN DAVID ADOM PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT DRIVER
MDA volunteer Lubna Kwas is the daughter of the late Suleiman Kwas, a resident of Julis who was an ambulance driver killed in a car accident in 1984. The station is characterized by unique humanitarian activities for the residents of the area, such as collecting and distributing food for Muslim holidays and assisting MDA blood donation drives days. Some 150 residents of the local council have been certified as Life Guardians, including doctors, nurses and residents of the surrounding towns. Over 130 employees and volunteers, of which about 70 are youth volunteers, staff the MDA station in Julis. The MICU will help with complicated medical emergencies. Until now, only a standard ambulance operated at the station. The MICU will provide an advanced medical response to the residents of the local council and the surrounding areas and will help to improve the medical response provided by Magen David Adom to the many motorists on nearby highways. This summer a mobile intensive care unit (MICU) was dedicated at a special ceremony at the Magen David Adom station in Julis. The National Training Department is located at the MDA headquarters in Tel Aviv. As Israel Today has reported in the past, multi-ethnic cooperation around MDA and life-saving medical care is flourishing in Israel. Each step like this helps empower peaceful and honorable coexistence in Israel.
This summer the Druze town of Julis inaugurated its first mobile ICU with Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services. In the middle of March 2020, hospital administrators and General Managers, as well as the General Manager of Magen David Adom, Israels National Emergency. Their young men serve in the Israeli army. The Druze have their own religion but speak Arabic (and Hebrew). Among the non-Jewish minorities in Israel, the Druze people have displayed an unusual degree of integration and loyalty in the broader Israeli society.
